Our Team

Dr. James Connor is a dedicated optometrist with a passion for patient education and comprehensive eye care. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Baylor University in 2007 and his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2013. Since then, Dr. Connor has practiced at three distinguished ophthalmology group specialty practices, where he has managed a wide range of eye conditions and collaborated closely on surgical procedures involving all structures of the eye.

Dr. Connor is committed to empowering his patients through education, ensuring they understand their eye health, treatment options, and how to optimize their vision and quality of life.

Originally from South Texas, Dr. Connor relocated to Louisiana with his wife, Elizabeth, a Mandeville native. Together, they are raising two young children. In his free time, Dr. Connor is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling with his family, capturing the beauty of national and state parks through photography.
